Episode 79 Boating Safety

Episode 79: Boating Safety: Commander Kevin Carroll, Chief of Inspections and Investigations Branch for 5th District, of the US Coast Guard, educates us about how to make sure you enjoy the water while being safe on a boat. He informs us about safety classes, safety inspections for your vessel, and lets us know that trying to be “the king of the world” on the bow of a boat is a really bad idea.

Episode 77 CO2 in the Classroom

Episode 77 CO2 in the Classroom: After sitting in a classroom, you may feel a little drowsy, yawn and nod off. Jacob Hinz did some research, took some air samples, and ran an indoor air quality experiment at his school to find out what is causing this drowsy feeling.  Only 10 years old, Jacob lets us know that it is not math or history that is making you drowsy, but the CO2 levels that are in the classroom.
